Briggs Marine in £100m Serco deal

BRIGGS Marine, the marine contracting and environmental services company, has won a £100 million contract to provide maintenance and mooring support for the Royal Navy.

The 15-year agreement with Serco is Fife-based Briggs Marine's biggest single contract.

Serco, which yesterday announced the signing of a 1 billion agreement with the Royal Navy for the provision of marine services for 15 years, will subcontract the buoys and mooring support element to Briggs, whose group head office is in Burntisland.
