Briefs: Queryclick expands

ONLINE marketing company QueryClick is to open a London office to help it expand across Europe and will be appointing a senior business development officer to run it.

The firm, which helps businesses improve their online returns, works with a number of household name clients from its Edinburgh HQ.

New marketing chair

THE Marketing Society Scotland has appointed Alan MacKenzie, head of customer communications for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, as chairman. Helen Campbell, head of UK & Ireland marketing at VisitScotland, becomes vice chairman.

Swinney to face CBI

FINANCE Minister John Swinney will deliver the keynote address at CBI Scotland’s north east business dinner in Aberdeen this week. The business group is once again expected to press Swinney for a full impact assessment on his controversial “health levy”.
