BrewDog toasts fundraising success

BREWDOG, the Fraserburgh-based micro-brewery behind the strongest beer on sale in the UK, has passed a milestone by raising £503,000 in the first stage of its "Equity for Punks" scheme.

Brewers James Watt and Martin Dickie aim to raise 2.3 million to fund the expansion of their business, including the building of new premises. Investors have bought shares worth 230 each and will receive 20 per cent off beer ordered through the firm's website.
