Braveheart expands investment reach in northern England

Perth-based investment group Braveheart is to expand its presence in the north of England following a recent deal to operate the Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (Yaba).

The firm said its London-based Envestors subsidiary said it will combine its office in the north-west with Yaba’s presence in Yorkshire to help its network of wealthy private investors reach more growing companies.

The expansion will be led by Julie Brook, who has been appointed regional director with responsibilty for the Isle of Man, north-east, north-west and Yorkshire.

Envestors director Scott Haughton said: “We are extending our well-established offering in the north of England, which includes presenting the best growth companies to investors in the south. Julie is the ideal person to lead this important initiative.”
