BPI banks £2.5m from factory sale

PACKAGING group British Polythene Industries (BPI) has sold the site of a former factory in Essex for £2.5 million.

The Greenock-based company will make a gain on the sale after disposal costs of 1.95m which will be used to reduce borrowings. The sell-off is the latest to be made by BPI following the 3.5m sale of another factory site in Stockton-on-Tees last year.
