Boyle raises the temperature at YSC

June Boyle, the former HR director at Lloyds Banking Group, is to lead leadership constancy YSC’s operation in Scotland as director and head of office.

Executive director Robert Sharrock said: “June has previously been a client of YSC and we have enormous admiration for what she has achieved across a range of roles and companies.

“She is a great addition to our UK directorship and we’re delighted to have her on board”.

Boyle will be based in Edinburgh, from where she’ll be hoping to get the odd break at her cottage on the Isle of Skye.

Accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael has hired a highly regarded insolvency practitioner as the firm continues to expand its business recovery division. Donald McNaught has been appointed business recovery and insolvency director and joins the firm’s Glasgow office following a 15-year career in major accountancy practices, and most recently with a specialist insolvency firm. His arrival brings the size of the firm’s insolvency team to 11, headed in the Central Belt by Matt Henderson.

Corporate lawyer Robert Maclean has joined the recently re-branded industrial supplier Scott Group. He will take the title of group board director at the Dunfermline-based firm, focusing on e-commerce development and property, and will be supporting acquisition activities to further expand and grow the company in line with its ambitious strategy.

Maclean said: “There are great opportunities on the horizon for the Scott Group and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and being instrumental in shaping the business for further growth.”

Financial services veteran Brian Sloan is taking over as chairman of Age Scotland Enterprises. Sloan has held various management roles in his career for both the Bank of Scotland and Capital Credit Union.

Joining the board of Age Scotland Enterprises, he will offer strategic vision and direction to the firm, which markets and sells products and services designed by Age UK Enterprises for the over 50s market in Scotland.
