Borders scientific firm recruits 10 apprentices
It comes after the disinfection specialist received a grant from South of Scotland Enterprise which allowed the firm to retool and adapt to the growing demands for high-level disinfectants.
The jobs were filled by local people recently made redundant and the apprentices will benefit from new remote learning tools and a bespoke training suite.
Chief executive Alistair Cameron said: “Thanks to the latest technology, we have been able to partner with Forth Valley College to deliver world-class training entirely on-site.
“At Scotmas we have a responsibility to ensure that they have access to opportunities to upskill and develop.
“The support from South of Scotland Enterprise and partners has been key in helping us adapt our business and create these new jobs at a crucial time for the south of Scotland economy.”
