Bluefin hooks a top catch to build its Scottish presence

Stephen Ball is the latest catch for insurance broker Bluefin as he takes on a role that will see him try to build its client base north of the Border.

Ball, a qualified professional in the industry, joins the business from global insurance broker Willis. He has also previously held senior roles at Aon and Marsh.

He becomes the insurance broker's new business director for Scotland.

Howard Fryer, head of corporate at Bluefin, said: "We are delighted to welcome Stephen to lead our new business team in Scotland.

Bluefin Insurance Services is part of AXA UK, employing about 1,600 people in 50 locations.

It has two Scottish branches, in Edinburgh and Glasgow, providing independent insurance broking services to both corporate and individual clients.
