Blackpool join in fight for Goodwillie

Dundee United have been in talks with Cardiff about a proposed 2 million deal for the in-demand 22-year-old but Ian Holloway is hoping to hijack the deal.

Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay was aiming to snap up the Scotland international from under the nose of Rangers but he now faces stiff competition from the relegated Seasiders.

The club are cash rich after dropping out of the Premiership last season and meeting United's demands will not be a problem.
