On the personnel front, it has welcomed Adam Ostrowski to a newly created technical application specialist role. With a background in microbiology, Ostrowski will focus on supporting new and existing customers.

Meanwhile, Craig Walker has also joined the technical team, increasing the firm’s in-house production capabilities.

The bioreactor manufacturer has set its sights on growing its team further, with plans to hire within its technical, sales, marketing and administration functions.

With a recently closed share round, the firm now has the funding required for further product development, with plans for bioreactors with smaller and larger working volumes in the pipeline.

A spokeswoman for the company said: “It is a very exciting time for Cellexus. Our expanding product range will allow us to approach new markets and new sectors, while continuing to bring the very best solutions to our customers.

“We are also looking forward to bringing new talent, knowledge and experience into the team based here in Dundee.”

Cellexus International was formed in 2017 to research, develop and manufacture the CellMaker range of “revolutionary single-use, airlift bioreactor systems” and related technology.
