BACKGROUND

BORN in 1966 in Frankfurt, Germany, Lynne Frank grew up in California, where she played football – “central defender or fullback” – as a youngster. She describes herself as an avid sports fan, and when it comes to football in the UK, she backs Manchester United.

Frank has a BA in economics and business. Prior to joining ESPN in 2005, she spent 12 years with Turner Broadcasting System in Europe.

She joined ESPN as the iconic US sports broadcaster was gearing up for a serious push overseas.

As managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Frank has overseen a number of significant developments for ESPN, including the 2006 acquisition of NASN, and 2007’s purchases of cricket and rugby websites cricinfo.com and scrum.com.
