Axis-Shield bosses take bonuses hit

DIRECTORS at Dundee-based medical testing kit maker Axis-Shield saw their remuneration packages drop by up to one-third after the company failed to hit pre-tax profit and share price targets, according to the 2010 annual report.

Underlying pre-tax profits fell from 8.1m to 7.1m, leading to chief executive Ian Gilham receiving only 12 per cent of his possible bonus, taking his total package down from 526,631 to 373,276, a fall of 29 per cent.
