Australian deal boosts Wolfson audio output

Audio chipmaker Wolfson Microelectronics has acquired an Australian supplier for A$5 million (£3.3m).

Dynamic Hearing, a developer of audio processing software for mobile phones, Bluetooth headsets and hearing aids, has been working closely with the Edinburgh-based Wolfson team over the past 18 months.

The Australian firm has developed audio-enhancing noise-reduction features to run on Wolfson’s range of high-definition audio devices used in smartphones, tablet computers and eBooks, and which were launched in February.
