Asda deal is food and drink to Scots businesses

Scottish food and drink suppliers who signed up to a programme run by Asda have seen their sales to the supermarket group grow by more than a third since January.

The ten Scottish companies who signed up for the nine-month project toasted its success at a dinner at Edinburgh Castle.

The programme, which was made possible by funding received from the Scottish Government, was designed to provide companies with an insight into Asda and its business and help them develop a long-term relationship with the retailer.
