Arran Sense of Scotland backs podcast aiming to boost island tourism
Sales and marketing director Andrew Russell has teamed up with media agency Connect Communications account manager Kim McAllister. Each episode will feature an interview with an islander or a high-profile visitor, and the first guest is Rachel Malcolm, captain of the Scottish Women’s Rugby team, whose family has a house in Whiting Bay.
Russell said: “Arran has a really special place in people’s hearts and I know many people have really missed visiting during the lockdown period. We want to bring a little bit of the island into people’s homes and hopefully welcome them back soon.”

Hide AdMcAllister, a lifelong visitor to Arran, commented: “It’s a dream project for me, talking about a place I love so much with others who feel the same. It’s an island full of surprises, so I’m looking forward to sharing some insider tips and to travelling back there with my family soon.”
The series launches on Thursday, 23 July.
