Armstrong takes up Trident Energy role

WAVE power developer Trident Energy yesterday beefed up its presence in Glasgow by appointing industry veteran Jonathan Armstrong as is first chief operating officer.

Armstrong, who will be based in Scotland, joins the London-based company following spells with a number of consultancy firms and work at nuclear power station operator British Energy, now part of EDF.

He will be joined in Glasgow by Susie Allison, formerly a technology analyst with Scottish Enterprise’s Intermediary Technology Institutes, who will responsible for business development.

Alan Mackay also joins Trident as a systems engineer, having previously worked in project management for engineering consultancy Frazer-Nash and at wave power developer Pelamis.
