Andrew Lloyd Webber plan to save Abbey studios

SIR Andrew Lloyd Webber has joined the battle to save the Abbey Road studios in London, home to almost all the Beatles recordings, revealing he would like to buy it. The composer has often used the famed venue for soundtrack albums.

Embattled music group EMI is said to be planning to sell the venue, which also inspired the name of the album with the Beatles' final recordings, and played host to such landmark albums as Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon.
