Amec and Bilfinger secure Repsol North Sea contracts

Engineering groups Amec Foster Wheeler and Bilfinger Salamis have secured contracts with North Sea explorer and producer Repsol Sinopec Resources.

The multi-year deals – which have the potential for further extensions – will see both firms provide maintenance, construction and engineering support services.

They cover seven of Repsol’s offshore assets – comprising Arbroath, Bleo Holm, Buchan, Clyde, Claymore, Montrose and Tartan – and the Flotta oil terminal at Orkney.

Aberdeen-based Bilfinger Salamis said the work would secure jobs for more than 200 of its employees.
