Aldi planning to open 19 new stores in Scotland
Supermarket Aldi announced that it will be expanding in Scotland with hopes of opening 19 new stores.
The company has stated that the new sites will be around 1.5 acres in size and about to accommodate a 20,000 square foot shop with a car park holding 100 parking spaces.

Hide AdAldi already has 92 shops in Scotland, and 880 across the United Kingdom, with a target of 1,200 shops in the UK by 2025.

Baillieston
Darnley/Pollok
Battlefield/ Cathcart
Partick
Finnieston
Possil
Castle Douglas
Clarkston

Dunblane/Bridge of Allan
Edinburgh
Helensburgh
Peebles
Tannochside/Uddingston
Stepps/Moodiesburn
Ciaran Aldridge, National Property Director at Aldi UK, said: “Aldi is growing rapidly and we are welcoming around a million new customers into our stores every year.
“But there are also hundreds of towns across the UK where there is not an Aldi, meaning there are hundreds of thousands of people who can’t easily access the high quality, affordable food our customers love.
“We are willing to explore all opportunities, including developer-led schemes or existing retail units.”
