Aircraft Medical in patent case victory

THE Court of Session yesterday ruled that Fife-based healthcare equipment maker Aircraft Medical had not infringed a patent held by American rival Verathon Medical.

Lord Hodge dismissed a 37 million claim that Aircraft had infringed a patent for to a tool to help doctors put breathing tubes down their patients' throats. Aircraft was represented by Philippa Montgomerie at law firm DLA Piper.
