Aircraft Medical in European lift-off

HEALTHCARE technology firm Aircraft Medical will today unveil a string of distribution deals covering ten European nations.

The contracts are for the Dalgety Bay-based company's new "video laryngoscope", a tool fitted with a camera to help doctors and paramedics put a tube down a patient's throat to help them breath.

Today's European deals follow a string of similar announcements in January covering the Asia-Pacific region.

Chief executive Matt McGrath said the firm's previous product had notched up $25 million (15m) in sales over the past four years and he expected the new tool to sell "many times that" because it had wider applications.
