AccuNostics wants ex–Lifescan staff

LIFE sciences company AccuNostics has unveiled plans to create more jobs at its head office in Forres and recruit some of the 40 staff axed last week at Lifescan in Inverness.

The Moray-based firm, which works on blood glucose tests for diabetics, has grown from six staff in 2011 to 33 at present.

Chief executive Giles Hamilton said: “Whilst the redundancy announcement is very sad news for those affected, we hope to be able to employ a number of staff affected by this announcement.”
