Accountants' jobs saved by rival

Orkney-based accountancy firm The Long Partnership has doubled in size after acquiring the assets of failed rival Graeme M Fraser & Co.

The deal with liquidator Iain Fraser of RSM Tenon, for an undisclosed sum, saves 14 jobs and secures continuity of service and advice for hundreds of businesses and personal clients across the Highlands and North-east of Scotland.

RSM's Fraser said: "The deal is an excellent fit for The Long Partnership and provides an exciting opportunity for further development of the business."
