Aberdeen drilling tech specialist NXG looking to bolster headcount

Drilling technology and services specialist NXG has outlined plans to create at least ten jobs and expand globally.

The firm, which has its head office in Aberdeen and a machine shop near Peterhead, provides innovations and other tools and equipment to the global drilling sector. It plans to recruit at least ten additional staff – six in Aberdeen and four at its one-acre site at Longside, near Peterhead.

The company also has bases in Dubai to serve the Middle East market and Thailand to support the requirements of client operations in south-east Asia, with additional locations currently being identified for new sites.

Mark Stephen, operations director at NXG, said: “As a UK-based manufacturing business, we have been delighted by a rise in the number of enquiries from global oilfield service companies in recent weeks.

“There is great scope for further international growth, and we hope to make an announcement on that soon,” he added.
