4i2i deal out of this world

ABERDEEN-BASED technology company 4i2i has won a contract from Nasa to help astronauts transmit digital video pictures back to Earth from space.

4i2i won the contract with Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory after opening an office in San Jose, California, and rebranding with help from Scottish Enterprise Grampian.

The Bucksburn firm, formed in 1995, pioneers video coding technology.
