37 more HMV stores to close
Administrators for failed music chain HMV are to close a further 37 stores, including two in Scotland, in a move that places 464 jobs at risk.
Deloitte said the stores would be shut over the next four to six weeks and would probably lead to all affected staff being made redundant, although it would try to relocate employees to other branches where possible.
The closures include HMV’s Argyle Street store in Glasgow, which has 39 staff, and its East Kilbride branch, which employs 17.
