Young Ruari’s birthday treat ahead of Piping Live!

YOUNG piper Ruari Buchan shares some tartan birthday cake with world-renowned musician Finlay MacDonald. The youngster is ten this year, as is Piping Live!, the Scottish music festival.

The tuneful pair celebrated the landmarks by entertaining passers-by in Glasgow, where the event takes

place this week.

MacDonald is head of piping studies at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow. He has performed with Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Bryan Adams.
