Wine: Pleasure and Spain

Spain is now one of the world's most dynamic wine countries. What it does so well is deliver drinkable appealing reds - and now whites as well - at affordable prices that can compete with the best of the New World.

Within my top ten below I have included some of the worthy winners from this year's New Wave Spanish Wine Awards - a UK-based competition now in its sixth year with a host of venerable judges. The only Spanish wines that still disappoint today are its ross, hence the absence of anything pink.
