The 2665 square foot store will trade alongside the original Princes’ Square store, showcasing a new design with a focus on digital innovation.

Glasgow is the home of Ted Baker’s first store back in 1988, when he opened his doors as a shirt specialist and offered complimentary dry cleaning to his returning customers. Today, the new design concept takes its inspiration from the idea of ‘Great Scots and their world firsts.’

Ahead of the store opening, the store window hoarding outwardly displays three digital and interactive screens. Facial recognition technology picks out passers-by and invites them up to the glass.

A touch screen photo booth with shareable options uploads photographs to create an animated GIF which can then be shared across chosen social channels, using #ReinvenT3D. A gallery of images and Ted’s SS14 brand film plays on a continuous loop to passers-by.

• The first 50 customers to the store, with a print out of this article, will get a goodie bag worth over £80.
