William Winters, Gerald Cairns left for Australia

John Wylie, from Ontario, Canada, asks: "I have a newspaper cutting from 1954 with a photo of five teenagers leaving for Australia through the Big Brother Movement.

There was myself, William Winters, Gerald Cairns, and two others, one of the surnames was Tully, the other I can't remember. We sailed on the liner Himalaya from Tilbury, Essex, and we did meet up in Australia for a while before we lost touch. I'd love to know if anybody knows the whereabouts of the four boys?" John lived in Burdiehouse before he left for Australia.
