What Matters to Me - Katherine Jenkins, singer

Who would attend your fantasy dinner party and what would you eat? Marilyn Monroe, Maria Callas, Mozart, Nelson Mandela, my best girlfriends and my mum. We’d have a good old fashioned roast.

• It’s not cool but... I’m addicted to the game Words with Friends. I’m constantly trying to beat my mum.

• What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Don’t believe your own hype. It’s so easy to do in this business.

• What’s the worst job you ever had? I’ve had a few. I was once a tour guide on the London Eye, which I actually ended up enjoying, once I got over my fear of heights.

• Who is your favourite fictional character? Christian Grey from 50 Shades of Grey.

• What are you afraid of? Christian Grey.

• Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it and why? I didn’t really have one growing up. However, over the last few years a few friends have started to call me Nelly because I was once warming up my voice and someone mistook the sound for an elephant.

• What situations make you lose your temper? I have a really long fuse so it doesn’t happen very often and, if it does, it’s usually when I’m over tired.

• What would your alternative profession be? Since doing Dancing with the Stars, I think I would’ve loved to have trained as a dancer when I was younger. Now, however, I would go for interior design.

• What food or drink is always in your fridge? Coconut water and Rachel’s vanilla yogurt.

• If you could change something about yourself, what would it be? I’d like to be a little bit taller.

• If you could travel back in time, where would you go? To the Tudor period. I am obsessed with Anne Boleyn.

• Saturday night or Sunday morning? Sunday morning.
