Video: Aerial timelapse film of Blackness

THE film maker who captured a timelapse film of the Kelpies under construction has released a new aerial timelapse film against the backdrop of Blackness Castle.

Walid Salhab, a director and lecturer at Queen Margaret University, had sole access to the Kelpies while they were being built and has also produced a series of films capturing the Edinburgh skyline and beaches along Scotland’s east coast.

His stop motion timelapse film ‘Kinetic Edinburgh II’ proved particularly popular, racking up 3.2 million views on social media.

His latest film, ‘Kinetic Blackness’ was filmed in and around Blackness Castle, near Falkirk, which showcases its scenic location on the shores of the Firth of Forth.

The soundtrack to the film was produced by Malcolm Lindsay, a Royal Television Society award-winning composer. The track, ‘ Grace Notes’, features the RSNO conducted by Greg Lawson and produced by Grammy award-winner Tim Handly.
