There's still a lot of life in Ocean Colour Scene

ONE of Britpop's most enduring survivors, Ocean Colour Scene mark their 21st anniversary with two nights at The Picture House.

The outfit Noel Gallagher once dubbed 'the second best band in Britain' will play the Capital venue on Wednesday and Thursday – and it appears they're as enthused about their music as they were when they burst onto the scene at the start of the Nineties.

"I think that's how you've got to look at life when you're 44. We're not getting any younger, but that enthusiasm will never leave us, I don't think," says guitarist Steve Craddock. "Especially when we've got a few glasses of pop inside us.

"It's our 21st year in 2010 so we want to get out there and remind people we're still here," he adds.

Alongside Sixties-inspired gems like The Riverboat Song and The Day We Caught The Train, the Birmingham band will perform tracks from just-released newbie Saturday.
