Review: Dan and Tom: Two For The Price of None, Southsider (venue 148)

This is an interesting double act. Two very different comics split the bill to the unfortunate accompaniment of the bloke belting out pub favourites in the room next door. But such is life on the Fringe. ***

Tom Davis is tall, from Croydon, has a tiny penis, and has spent time in Manchester pretending to be gay.

Daniel Schreiber is a glorious geek, and an entertaining mine of fascinating facts, sweet geeky observations and painfully funny tales.

Schreiber is the better half of the show, although Davis looks like he will be worth a whole ticket once he relaxes and has confidence in his personal stuff.

Schreiber does not have a dull moment in his set (assuming you find the plight of the pubic lice as fascinating as I do) and his cloakroom for dicks, his thoughts on film piracy and his version of the acrimonious undercurrents in Under Pressure are absolutely top stuff. I cannot wait to see more of Mr Schreiber. This is one of the Free Fringe’s many delights. Quality comedy.

Until 25 August. Today 9:30pm.
