Kevin Bridges tour ticket sales may top £12m

The Clydebank comic, 28, will play 99 dates at venues all over the UK and Ireland and with most shows expected to sell-out he will rake in millions.

He has already sold out 40 shows on the marathon tour which means ticket sales already total over £9 million.

Currently a staggering 339,595 seats have been sold from a maximum of 449,272.

Kevin will begin his A Whole Different Story tour in June next year in Leeds before visiting towns and cities across the country and finishing in Douglas on the Isle of Man.

He is due to play for 15 nights in Glasgow at the Hydro in front of a capacity 13,000 crowd every night and tickets sales are expected to reach £6,552,000 - with the sought-after briefs costing £33.60 each.

In Aberdeen he will play nine shows in front of 8,500 people a night at the city’s GE Oil and Gas Arena, raking in £2,593,350 with tickets costing £33.90 each.

“He won’t get all of the revenue from the ticket sales but will be in line for a lot of it.

“His popularity and the fact there is not a lot of production costs involved in his shows means he can earn a huge amount of money from touring.”

Millionaire Bridges burst onto the comedy scene when he was nominated as Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2009.

But he became a household name after appearing on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow on BBC 1.

Earlier this year it emerged he has raked in £4 million since his debut with his 2013 accounts for his company Dip and Chip revealing it had total assets of £5,727,990.

That included £2,449,883 in the bank and £3,278,157 owed to it by debtors.

The accounts, filed at Companies House, said Kevin owed £1,507,697 to unnamed creditors leaving him with shareholders funds of £4,220,293.

Kevin is the sole director of the company which was set up in June 2012 and owns all the shares in it.

As well as touring, DVDs and TV shows, the comic has also earned cash through selling his own-branded merchandise.

Earlier this year, he had his name officially registered as a trademark to protect his money-spinning image rights.

And he has recently published his autobiography called We Need to Talk About...Kevin Bridges.
