Arnold Brown, The Stand Comedy Club Edinburgh (2004)

A long-standing figure of the alternative comedy scene, Arnold Brown was a practicing chartered accountant until the pull of stand-up drew him to take up comedy full-time in 1983. The Scottish comic is known for his razor-sharp wit, his deconstruction of normal stand-up pretenses and a laid-back delivery. Brown once said his career highlight was supporting Frank Sinatra at a show at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, in 1990.
