Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose to remake one of the most iconic cinematic scenes to promote a stage play.

Glasgow’s Citizens Theatre - which is hosting a stage production of Trainspotting - recreated the film’s infamous dash down Princes Street.

Featuring ‘Renton’, the clip is mostly filmed on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street and finishing up outside the theatre, which opened in 1878.

The theatre tweeted the teaser trailer with the caption: “Danny Boyle’s not the only one with a teaser trailer out this week!”

The stage production of Trainspotting, based on Irvine Welsh’s 1993 novel, has been adapted by Harry Gibson and is directed by the theatre’s Main Stage Director in Residence Gareth Nicholls.

The play opens on September 14, running until October 8.
