Comedy review: KWAT: Greetings from KWAT, Just The Tonic at The Caves (Venue 88), Edinburgh

There are some lovely ideas in this show (a cold-call marriage proposal and a pubic hairdresser), some very old ideas (gut calling brain on the phone) and a load of stuff that seems to suffer from a lack of direction.

The performers seem talented enough, and most sketches start well and are encouragingly off the beaten comedy track. But they lose their way, or don’t hold up to the repetition they get. By the time they finished, I was glad grey squirrels are wreaking such havoc among the reds. The show has lots of potential, but potential is just not enough.
