Comedy review: FarkLaughing Horse @ The Free Sisters (Venue 272)

Madeleine Culp’s stand-up starts promisingly, with a very funny voice-over in which the audience’s thoughts seem to be verbalised.“I hope there is no lesson to be learned” is one that gets a particular laugh.

RATING: * *

No need to worry about that. It’s pretty difficult to follow what Fark is all about, though it seems to be a mickey-take on a new-agey form of art therapy, and it does have a funny gag about the Antiques Roadshow. Culp is an appealing personality, but her half-hour show is an ultimately disappointing affair.

Until 26 August.
