Charley Boorman spills the beans on adventures

IT’S hard to pigeonhole Charley Boorman, Euan McGregor’s best biking buddy.

What exactly does he do these days, apart from roar around the globe in his two wheeled stallion?

There’s a chance to discover more about the actor, adventurer and author at the Queen’s Hall when he takes a break from his travels for an evening of what is described as ‘Boorman close up and no mistake!’

Well known for the TV shows Long Way Round, Race to Dakar, Long Way Down and By Any Means, Boorman will regale his audience next Wednesday with an evening of personal stories, Hollywood anecdotes and tales of adventure from his worldwide escapades.

The son of film director John Boorman, Charley’s colourful career started as a child when he appeared in the movie Deliverance. Now 45, he will use video screens and a selection of clips from his adventures to illustrate his tales.

Host for the evening is Billy Biketruck, the famous Jackass Hunter, who promises to get down to the nitty gritty with shocking questions and the equally shocking answers.

The evening will end with a question and answer session during which audience members will get to pose their own questions.
