Ed Miliband is the latest high profile politician to try to deflate Alex Salmond’s currency plan, after Alistair Darling accused him of having no plan B.
The Labour leader has said his party’s General Election manifesto will include a specific commitment to block a formal currency union if Scots vote yes in next month’s referendum.
However Salmond and the SNP were staying resolute and remain quietly confident the situation will change at the negotiating stage should a Yes vote be returned.
