T in the Park review: Manic Street Preachers

Veteran indie band Manic Street Preachers paid homage to the lengthof time as a band together during their mid-afternoon slot on the main stage.

The group's lead singer James Dean Bradfield pointed out that their first appearance at T in the Park at Strathclyde Park would have come before many present on this drizzly Saturday in Balado were born.

In a stage laden with crystal-like male figurines and a Welsh flag the band launched into a set full of songs form their heyday of the late nineties.

Despite the time the group have been together they didn't appear to have lost any of their energy on stage.

Anthems such as If Motorcycle Emptyness and Everything Must Go were belted out with gusto to an appreciative crowd.

Everything Must Go was the band's best recieved song and was met with universal clapping and applause from the front of the main stage.
