Something blue for David Walliams' wedding

COMEDIAN Ronnie Corbett and his wife Anne Hart colour co- ordinated their wardrobes with matching turquoise socks and tunic to attend the star-studded wedding of Little Britain star David Walliams and his model girlfriend Lara Stone.

The pair had, it seemed, both decided to wear "something blue" to the 80,000 ceremony at Claridge's hotel in London yesterday. Other famous guests included new parents Lee Mead and Denise Van Outen, who gave birth to their daughter Betsy just 15 days ago.

Actress Barbara Windsor and film-maker Sam Taylor-Wood as well as actor James Corden and fashion designer Tom Ford also attended.

Walliams and his wife, a Vogue cover-girl 12 years his junior, became engaged in January. During the 30 minute ceremony celebrity friends read poetry by WB Yeats and Philip Larkin.

Walliams' Little Britain co-star Matt Lucas and BBC producer Robin Dashwood were best men, while actor David Bradley brought the house down with a short speech, in which he said: "Lara, please look after David, we all know what a shy and retiring man he is."

After the newlyweds had signed the register, John Barry's instrumental version of We Have All the Time in the World was played – the obvious choice of Walliams, a James Bond fan.
