The EdinburghSketcher captures the John Knox House

THIS WEEK the EdinburghSketcher returns with one of Edinburgh’s most famous and oldest buildings; the John knox House on the Royal Mile.

Located in The Netherbow, the halfway point in the Royal Mile and the site of Edinburgh’s medieval gateway, the building dates back to 1470. The home of James Mossman, goldsmith to Mary Queen of Scots, the house became known as the final residence of John Knox, the Protestant reformer.
