Scottish Style Award winners out on red carpet


MacDonald, a publicist, took the top title alongside actor Martin Compston, who played Ewan Brodie in TV series Monarch Of The Glen and was named most stylish male at the event.
In a glittering ceremony at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Compston beat off competition from rivals including fashion designer Patrick Grant and kilt maker Howie Nicholsby.

Hide AdThe Blackbird in Edinburgh took the most stylish bar award, while Central Market in Glasgow was named most stylish restaurant.


CitizenM in Glasgow was ranked as the most stylish hotel in Scotland and the newly opened SSE Hydro was proclaimed to be the most stylish entertainment venue.
Mary McGowne, founder of the Scottish Style Awards, said: “Once again, and in this our ninth year, we have showcased the incredible style, creativity and individuality this country has to offer.
“It is a privilege to honour all these amazing cool Scots, with many of them flying in from across the globe to be with us.”
Rockstar North, the creator of the hit Grand Theft Auto video games, received an award in recognition of its “footprint and influence into popular culture on a global scale”, while chef Andrew Fairlie, who runs his eponymous restaurant at Gleneagles Hotel, received an accolade for outstanding contribution.
