Scots football legend made his international debut

Kenneth Mathieson “Kenny” Dalglish, MBE made his international debut for Scotland’s football team as a substitute in the 1-0 Euro qualifier victory over Belgium.

He is Scotland’s most capped player, with 102 appearances. He is also Scotland’s joint leading goal scorer, with 30 goals.

The Scot’s football hero started his career with Celtic FC in 1968. While he was signed in ‘67, Kenny spend the first year on loan to Cumbernauld United.

In 2009, football magazine FourFourTwo named Kenny as the greatest striker in post-war British football, as well as having been inducted into both the Scottish and English Football Halls of Fame.
