In partnership with Calmac, the six bloggers – Douglas Baird, Kay Gillespie, Kim Kjaerside, Neil Robertson, Nicola Holland and Susanne Arbuckle – will spend a weekend trekking across some of Scotland’s best-loved islands, including Skye, Mull, Bute, Arran, Barra and Colonsay.

The #Isleathon hashtag will be used on their social media channels to chart the experience with stories and photographs, while also encouraging others to join in.

The writers, known collectively as the Scotlanders, will set off on Friday 5 September.
