Gregor Gillespie has arranged for all seven children to fly over in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the movie classic.

They will be in the UK for a few days before heading to Austria, where the musical was set and filmed.

Mr Gillespie, from Bo’ness, said yesterday: “This is a massive deal, especially since it’s the film’s half century. The Von Trapp children have never been reunited in the UK before. “There may even be other members of The Sound of Music cast that show up, who knows?”

The Von Trapp children, who are between the ages of 50 and 75, will appear at a charity show, Viva Blackpool, on 24 October.
