Record viewers for Britain's Got Talent

THE first episode in the new series of Britain's Got Talent drew a record 12.2 million viewers, ITV said.

The figure – which equates to a 49 per cent audience share – is the highest ever for a launch episode of the show. The programme was watched by 51 per cent of the 16-34 demographic, said ITV.
