Q Margaret Cooper is trying to track down her brother James Henderson, whom she has lost touch with. She says: "I know that he used to be a regular reader of your newspaper. I'm hoping that he or someone that knows him sees this and he gets in touch." Margaret migrated to Melbourne in Australia in 1984.

Q John Stewart, of Livingston, is hoping someone has a photograph of the last remaining tenement in Cables Wynd, Leith, before the "banana flats" were erected – the tenement had the McGovern Pub on its ground level.

Q Louise Christison is trying to trace a photo of a talent contest which she thinks was called Search for a Star that took place in 1970 or 1971 at the Odeon. She says: "The photo was taken by the Evening News. I'm just wondering if anyone has a copy. I've tried to track it down through the Evening News but they need an exact month/year. Does anyone know the exact date please?"
